Typically purchasing INDIVIDUAL DISABILITY coverage (outside of the workplace or employer-paid) is a challenge. It can be expensive, lots of tax returns to validate, heavy underwriting questions if you can even find it. Not with Breeze. Their online process is easy for anyone: independent business owners, gig workers, consultants, part-time workers...anyone (under the age of 60) who values their paycheck and wants peace-of-mind. Act now as your risk of being disabled is 25% (one in four) and you're 3 times more likely to get DISABLED (rather than die) during your working years.
One of the best components of building a custom disability policy for yourself with Breeze is the flexibility. You choose the MONTHLY TAX FREE BENEFIT (read below for coverage limits), WHEN you want the benefit to start (can be as soon as one month) and HOW LONG you will receive the benefit (could be 1, 5 or 10 years or even longer). Premiums are based your age on FOUR industry classes with no income verification under $4k a month
Breeze makes the application process easy. With the risk of disability ONE in THREE, and the leading cause of bankruptcy being an unforeseen medical expense, insure your paycheck is WHOLE so you can provide for yourself and your family when an off-job accident or sickness strikes and you can remain financially whole.
Critical Illness is sometimes called a "Living Life Insurance Policy" because it will pay you a LUMP SUM benefit for the diagnosis of a covered critical illness. Issue Age up to age 70 and premiums are based on three:
Up to $75,000 with "simplified issue" and with fully underwritten coverage up to $500,000. Benefit will pay for a diagnosis as well as a "subsequent" benefit should you be diagnosed with one or more covered illnesses. For example, you buy $20k and get a heart attack, you receive $20k (tax free). Have a cancer diagnosis a few years later, receive another $20k!
The ideal client for Assurity's Critical Illness plan is between 18-70 years old with no more than one family member with a serious health condition. A cancer diagnosis within the past two years as well as bankruptcy or three moving violations in the past 10 years could inhibit the policy being issued.
As a policyholder, if you pass away from a cause other than a specified critical illness, their premiums will be paid to their beneficiary. A return of premium rider is also available, which returns a percentage of premiums if the policy is canceled or lapses.
Yes! One of the best parts about Assurity's Disability plan is that it will cover Mental/Nervous Disorders as well as Substance Abuse up to two years
Yes, as is typical with many critical illness plans, the benefit will REDUCE to 50% of the face amount following the 70th birthday.
Yes, there is a height/weight guide/chart and know that the policy will either "issue" or "decline" (and if you answer any application questions with a "yes", the policy will decline
No benefits will be paid for diagnosis of invasive cancer or non-invasive cancer during the first 30 days of the policy. Coverage begin immediately for all other covered conditions (how great is that?)

One of my favorite carriers on the market underwrites the disability and critical illness plans: Assurity. They are one of the finest companies, pays claims promptly and is one of the reasons I have a critical illness policy with them myself!:
No
You will have a choice of 30, 60, 90, 180 and even one year elimination periods with benefit periods potentially up to 10 years with the policy renewing up to age 75
Add an answer to this item. Simplified Issue amount are up to $4000 of monthly benefit amount (policies can issue immediately). Additional coverage up to $20k per month with full underwriting is also available
Yes. Breeze's Disability plan is underwritten by Assurity and they have FOUR "occupational classes": 4A (white collar including real estate agents, and healthcare), 3A (day care worker, hygienist, nurse), 2A (carpenter, mechanic, personal trainer) and 1A (construction, exterminator, truck driver).
Applicants in the 4 and 3A Occupational Class is $20,000 per month. 2A maximum monthly benefit is $10k and 1A is $8k
Assurity's disability policy does have a typical two-year pre-existing condition clause, which means if you've been diagnosed and undergoing treatment for an injury or illness, that specific injury/illness during the past two years, that condition will not be covered.
Pregnancy is not covered. There are exclusions on the policy (such as committing felony, acts of war, being incarcerated, etc.) but there are also active sports that are covered, so best to review the policy details (such as mountain climbing, scuba diving, professional sports clubs, etc.)
